One day, walking past a pet store, I saw several dog owners trying out boxes right in their car trunks with the help of the staff. Not a single box worked out. Either the trunk wouldn’t close, or the box door wouldn’t open properly because of the trunk sill, or the box took up so much space that nothing else could fit in the trunk. People were ready to pay, but they simply couldn’t find a product that worked for them.
That moment made me think: how many pet owners feel frustrated, unable to buy something that fits their needs — even when they have the money?
So I started paying close attention to what boxes are actually out there. I visited pet supply stores. I looked at how boxes fit into car trunks. And here’s what I found:
- Most boxes in stores are plastic.
- Metal ones exist, but the metal is very thin.
- Some are a plastic + aluminum combination.
- There are custom-made aluminum boxes (made by a craftsman) — but they’re unattractive, closed-off, with thick, rough welds. Pure function, no beauty.
That’s when it hit me: we need something different. Functional, beautiful, lightweight — built with both the dog’s and the owner’s comfort in mind. And durable.
That’s exactly how the idea for my dog box was born. The box I can offer you today.
